Located in northern Baltimore county, the Hereford area of the Gunpowder river sits within the boundaries of Gunpowder Falls State Park. The seven mile stretch section designated as catch and release begins at the base of the Prettyboy reservoir damn and ends at Blue Mount Rd. There are many parking access points as well as trails along the river.
